Aim of the Door Person role 

As the first impression of guests, the aim is to ensure that arriving and departing guests are taken care of to the standards of the company.

About you as Door Person

• Charisma in abundance
• Self-motivating and patient through busier and quieter periods on shift
• Flexible approach to duties
• Able to build rapport quickly with guests
• Intuition to read different guests and provide personalised service
• Knowledge of different languages is desirable

Key responsibilities of the Door Person

• Ensure all guests are greeted for on arrival with warmth and genuine care
• Be respectful of meeting and bidding farewell to all guests, staying alert for arrivals and departures
• Be knowledgeable of London’s tourist scene to offer advice on attractions and information
• Gain attention of taxis from roadside for guests, offering services to ensure no guest is left waiting
• Assist guests with luggage in and out of transport
• Assist with additional reasonable requests from management, including Porter and cleaning duties

Located on Half Moon Street alongside Piccadilly, The Mayfair Townhouse will debut with 172 rooms & suites. The Dandy Bar, private gym and versatile event spaces. Mayfair is synonymous with status, heritage and prestige and up until the mid 18th century was largely rural, famous for its annual May Fair. The townhouses lining Half Moon Street formed the setting for Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest.
