Aim of the Commercial Director role

To lead, drive, plan and execute the entire commercial strategy for Iconic Luxury Hotels. You will manage and support the revenue management team, central reservations and events teams, Iconic sales team, marketing, e-commerce and public relations whilst providing support to the hotel sales teams. 

You will be expected to be a brand ambassador for Iconic Luxury Hotels whilst managing and maintaining strong key client relations. 

Key responsibilities of the Commercial Director

  • Supporting the hotel sales teams to write and deliver a thorough commercial plan that covers all markets and business outlets including rooms, spa and F&B
  • Work with the General Managers to ensure that the correct commercial systems and procedures are in place to deliver their budgets
  • Conduct research alongside the Executive Director to seek new opportunities that will support the growth of the Iconic portfolio
  • Support the revenue function to maximise all opportunities and deliver key KPIs and business objectives
  • Ensure relevant business intelligence tools are in place to maximise revenue opportunities and maintain and gain market share
  • Implement and deliver key commercial KPIs across the internal and external sales, revenue, marketing and PR teams
  • Support the Brand and Marketing Manager and PR Manager to develop and execute the PR and marketing strategy in line with overall commercial strategy and business objectives
  • Support reservations and events departments to develop into confident and knowledgeable teams with a strong team work ethic
  • Ensure the commercial departments understand the hotels budgets and work within business guidelines to maintain cost control
  • Provide a confident and consistent sales effort with quality execution and adherence to the standards required of a world-class 5 star hotels

This position will require travel to the Iconic properties but working base is flexible.

About the Commercial Director

  • Dynamic team player
  • Exceptional leadership skills and experience in managing a large team.
  • Comprehensive understanding of hospitality and luxury hotel market
  • Well-connected within the travel industry
  • Experience in working across multiple sites, understanding variance of city and country properties
  • Demonstrable commercial success in previous roles
  • Understanding and appreciation of luxury brands
  • Proven sales experience to drive business forward
  • Opera and CRM experience preferred but not essential
