Role Overview:
As a Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef and Senior Sous Chef in ensuring all dishes meet our high standards. You will take ownership of the kitchen operations in the Head Chef's and Senior Sous Chef's absence, maintain quality by using specified ingredients, and assist in training and developing the kitchen team. Your responsibilities include controlling wastage, keeping food costs down, and ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Sous Chef to ensure seamless service
- Take charge of kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef and Senior Sous Chef
- Uphold quality by strictly using specified ingredients
- Assist in training and nurturing our kitchen brigade’s talent
- Manage food wastage and control costs efficiently
- Maintain the highest standards of food preparation and visual presentation
- Operate various kitchen sections as needed
- Foster a positive, collaborative relationship between the Restaurant and Kitchen teams
About You:
We are seeking a passionate culinary professional with:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- The ability to thrive in a busy, high-pressure environment
- A talent for inspiring and leading a large team
- Meticulous attention to detail
